Jewish Banker executed while violating Ottoman Law

Mahmud II, having suppressed the janissaries at the same period and the disgrace of the protector of the Jewish bankers Halet Efendi, on the one hand; the fact that the bankers had given money (through pressure) to the janissaries and due to the denunciation to the Sultan by their competitor the Armenian banker Artin Kazaz, the Jewish banker Izak Adjiman, Tchelebi Bohor Carmoma and Yehezekiel Gabay were executed.
